It's a world detective competition where one after another of these notorious villains' dread-inducing great detectives step onto the stage to solve cases and catch the bad guys. When you read detective stories, you should imagine yourself as Holmes, as Poirot, and challenge your own wisdom. Reading detective stories is like playing a puzzle game. Remember, you yourself are the great detective! This book contains 72 works, with a wide range of themes and various styles. Most of these works are masterpieces by famous authors, but some famous works were excluded because their content was deemed unsuitable for children. On the other hand, as long as the content is healthy and acceptable to children, even works by lesser-known authors are included. Works primarily focused on topics like murder, (psychological crime), etc., are not included.
According to the authors' nationalities, the works are categorized. For the same author, no more than two works are included, so that more authors can meet readers in the book. Most of the original works are relatively long, with many being mid- or full-length novels. If left unchanged, reading them would be cumbersome. Therefore, we invited the authors and children's literature workers to rewrite them, shortening each story to its current length. For original works that were short and thin in content, they were expanded. In short, while respecting the original works, some modifications were made during the rewriting process to make the stories more vivid, interesting, artistically moving, and educationally meaningful.
