Features: "As the saying goes, 'All empires rise and fall.' With an opening that commands the grandeur of the world, Romance of the Three Kingdoms unfolds a monumental scroll of stories passed down through the ages. Its heroic prowess like thunderous lightning, its wisdom surpassing all ages, and its ever-changing stratagems have all been celebrated by the times. As Romance of the Three Kingdoms spread, the stories of the Three Kingdoms gradually became household names, not only sparking the enthusiasm of the Chinese but also captivating some foreigners who became ardent fans. Driven by the desire to love what one loves, anything related to the Three Kingdoms falls within the realm of these fans' interests. And I am one of them. As the saying goes, 'Enjoying joy alone is not as fulfilling as sharing it with others.' For this reason, we have meticulously compiled Tracing the Historical Path: A Journey Through Romance of the Three Kingdoms. During the compilation process, we combined personal experiences, delved into extensive research, and gathered the latest scenic spot information from the internet and fellow travelers to ensure the descriptions align with the current state of the sites. In addition to "Tracing the Origins of Ancient Sites," we have also included three major sections: "Travel Tips," "Scenic Navigation," and "Scenic Highlights," providing relevant transportation information and the recommended order of visiting each sub-scenic spot within the larger attractions. However, as the saying goes, "All else is inferior, only the Three Kingdoms are supreme," so ninety-nine percent of the book's brilliance lies within the scenic spots themselves. Not only do we introduce the (general overview) of the sites, but we also meticulously extract stories from Romance of the Three Kingdoms that are related to each location, aiming to give readers a more detailed and profound understanding. As a fan of the Three Kingdoms, I often share fragments of Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the (general overview) of related scenic spots with my friends. Each time, I am filled with satisfaction and delight. Putting myself in others' shoes, we have strived to compile this book with the hope that Three Kingdoms fans will not only have a reference during their travels but also have something to talk about over dinner and tea. Of course, due to various practical limitations, this book only selects a portion of the more concentrated Three Kingdoms scenic spots. Since this is a journey through Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the book leans toward the idea of Luo Guanzhong's admiration for the Shu Kingdom and disdain for the Wei Kingdom, with a stronger focus on scenic spots related to the Shu officials. This was discovered too late to be corrected during the writing process, so I sincerely apologize to the (Cao Cao fans) among the Three Kingdoms enthusiasts! The book categorizes the Romance of the Three Kingdoms scenic spots into the Wei, Shu, and Wu regions of the Three Kingdoms era, and after each scenic spot introduction, it extracts the most (excellent) stories from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, allowing those unfamiliar with the Three Kingdoms to gain a deeper cultural understanding of the sites. At the same time, it enables Three Kingdoms fans to better release their passion for the Three Kingdoms while appreciating the scenery.
