Preliminary Note on Democratic Theory

Features: A must-read for understanding democratic theory. After introducing two influential democratic models, the author proposes the theory of pluralist regimes. Pluralist democracy is considered the mainstream direction of democratic development in recent decades, although its theoretical and practical models have undergone significant changes, the fundamental theoretical program and approach can still be found in this book. The Preface to Democratic Theory Most of the questions raised in these short essays must be answered by a satisfactory political theory. This book does not attempt to demonstrate that I have answered all these questions, nor does it claim that all these questions are important. Instead, it only shows that I find some of them very interesting and personally hope they hold significant importance. Perhaps, unlike party-building, after centuries of political contemplation, the theory of democracy remains quite unsatisfactory (if my basic assumptions are correct), whether it is a democratic theory with ethical characteristics or an attempt to depict the real world.
