Features: During this period, I wrote a series of reports on the politics and economy of France. Looking back now, I was surprised to find that many of the facts I recorded have become history and can be found in corresponding chapters in school textbooks. The articles selected in this collection, "Paris Date," not only record my personal rendezvous with Paris but also leave behind traces of the rendezvous between the French nation and history. Regardless of how future historians evaluate this period, I have no regrets about my rendezvous with Paris. A person's life is composed of countless rendezvous. From nothingness to the mortal world, and from the mortal world back to nothingness, there are countless rendezvous in between. Some are trivial and insignificant; even if missed, waking up the next day, one still sees the sun rising in the east. Others are just the opposite—brief moments of lightning and thunder can become the dividing line between light and darkness, happiness and disaster, life and death. No one can count the number of rendezvous they have had in a lifetime, nor can they predict which are indispensable and which are trivial. But they will never forget the rendezvous of life—those pivotal moments that change the trajectory of an individual's fate. Such rendezvous, each person has one or several in their lifetime. As for myself, the rendezvous with Paris is one of them; it led me from the ancient East to the distant France.
