Features: China Water Conservancy and Electric Power Press is a central-level publishing organization with a rigorous work ethic, meticulous management, and over 40 years of history. It is among the first batch of "National Outstanding Publishers." Initially, it primarily published scientific and technical publications on water conservancy and electricity. With the expansion of its business and growing strength, it has now successively published various types of publications in fields such as civil engineering, architecture, computer science, and tourism, earning the approval and praise of readers. On this basis, we are committed to promoting the spirit of scientific exploration and upholding traditional culture, striving to achieve the integration of science and art, and blending publishing with culture, thereby contributing to the preservation of traditional Chinese art to the best of our ability. To this end, we are honored to invite the renowned art appraisal expert, Mr. Shi Shuqing, to compile this series of "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks," with the strong support of Yachang Enterprise Co., Ltd. We extend our gratitude to them here. Compared to other published books in the same category, the greatest feature of this series is that experts combine their years of experience and insights to analyze the key points of collecting and appreciating various types of artworks, making every word invaluable. Nearly 300 artworks in each book are carefully selected and thoroughly analyzed by experts, making them highly representative and informative. Through reading and appreciation, readers can gain comprehensive knowledge of artworks while mastering the essence of appraisal. This series is highly suitable for art collectors and enthusiasts from all walks of life. To save space, this series uses abbreviations for auction houses, such as "China" referring to "China International Auction Company," etc. All monetary units in the book are in "ten thousand yuan," and all dimensions are in "centimeters," and so on, without listing every example. Please note this. This book is one of the series "Investment and Appraisal of Chinese Artworks." After the Qing Dynasty unified the country, to restore the economy and consolidate the regime, it implemented a series of progressive policies to encourage production, leading to increasing prosperity and growing national strength. The porcelain industry also benefited from the economic development, reviving after the decline in the late Ming Dynasty. Starting from the Kangxi era, China entered a golden age in ceramic history, reaching its peak during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods. Therefore, the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong dynasties were the most glorious periods for ceramic development in the Qing Dynasty. The production of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty was relatively widespread. Stone Bay porcelain in Guangdong and Dehua porcelain in Fujian played very active and important roles in the development of the porcelain industry during the Qing Dynasty, but they cannot represent the overall level of ceramic development in the Qing Dynasty. What truly represents the level of ceramic development in the Qing Dynasty remains Jingdezhen porcelain.
