The first part provides a detailed introduction to the qualities tour guides should possess, the nature of tour guide work, and various problems that may arise during tours, along with their solutions. The second part includes various forms of dialogues, welcome speeches, farewell speeches, city introductions, and sightseeing commentary, aiming to guide students in comprehensively applying their language knowledge through demonstrations and practice in different scenarios. This helps students familiarize themselves with the of tourism activities, the characteristics of standardized tour guide language, and develop basic abilities in standardized reception and service. The third part categorizes China's representative tourism resources into 10 types, with each category forming a unit. The content of Text A in each unit focuses on introducing the characteristics of the respective type of landscape, enabling students to learn by analogy and generalize. Text B primarily selects representative scenic spots from each category nationwide, and teachers may also choose typical local scenic spots as teaching content for Text B. Through this part of the teaching, students can initially grasp the basic content of each type of landscape and the corresponding tour guide techniques. The fourth part provides answers to translation exercises.
