This book has selected and annotated 830 poems from military and travel poetry from the pre-Qin period to the late Qing Dynasty, providing a relatively comprehensive reflection of the basic characteristics of ancient military and travel poetry. In accordance with the requirements of the "Military Scholars Commenting on Classical Military Literature Series," the commentaries focus on exploring the concepts of war, military governance ideas, and the sentiments of soldiers in the selected poems from the perspective of a soldier and a military standpoint. These commentaries are largely based on the compilers' own understanding and experience. During the writing process, we referred to various annotated, selected, and appreciated editions of military and travel poetry, absorbing their excellent achievements, and we express our sincere gratitude here.
