Zhang Xiaokai collapsed onto the ground, weak and listless. "We've walked for so long, yet we can't see anything! It's pitch black everywhere!" "Yeah, we seem to be getting more and more confused. Look, even the entrance we came from can't be found anymore." The words of Bai Xue also revealed anxiety and fear. At that moment, Zhang Xiaokai sneezed. Instantly, in the darkness, a "flap-flap" sound came from the air, as countless creatures with a cool breeze swept past their ears and above their heads. The soft texture of their skin gently brushed against Zhang Xiaokai's skin. He suddenly remembered bedbugs and was terrified, falling to the ground. Only then did he faintly recognize those things as huge wings, and then he recognized the round shape of the head—oh, it was still a bat. "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid," Zhang Xiaokai comforted himself while pressing his chest. "It's nothing, just a bat. Bats don't eat people, right? Our ancestors lived in caves with bats, didn't they? Let's keep going." A sinister feeling rose from the ground, almost identical to what he had seen in his dream that day. Yang Ge was also extremely anxious. Just moments ago, he was full of confidence, believing that with their rich experience in exploring mazes, they could reach the center of the maze. But the maze they were now in was dozens or even hundreds of times more complex than the ones they had conquered before. They had no choice but to give up. Suddenly, Yang Ge heard a beautiful song. "Listen, listen," Yang Ge said with longing. "What are you listening to?" Bai Xue and Zhang Xiaokai asked, puzzled and confused. They hadn't heard anything. "Did you not hear someone singing?" Yang Ge asked. "No, are you not feeling well and seeing things?"
