Features: The Treatises of Wang Fu is a work by Wang Fu, a progressive thinker of the Eastern Han Dynasty, which offers extensive and sharp criticism of the social and political conditions of the late Eastern Han period. In the Qing Dynasty, Wang Jipai provided detailed and meticulous annotations. This book primarily selects works closely related to the study of philosophy and intellectual history. Some books not belonging to the Zi (Philosophical Classics) category, such as Ban Gu's White Tiger Commentaries, are also included due to their close relevance to the study of philosophy and intellectual history. The entire work will be published in two volumes.
Volume 1 includes Zi books similar to those in The Complete Collection of the Zi Classics, which are frequently read or consulted by general researchers. Each book selects the best available annotated edition to date. For a very small number of books without existing annotations, separate annotations will be provided. Some books include multiple annotated editions, each with its own strengths. To maintain a consistent format, generally only annotated editions written in classical or colloquial classical Chinese are included, except for a few exceptions.
Volume 2 collects Zi books outside the scope of Volume 1. Most of these books lack existing annotations, and where necessary, annotations should be added. The rest will be selected for collation using high-quality versions.
Both Volumes 1 and 2 are planned to first be published as paperback editions, with each volume priced individually and released.
