The book is divided into three major sections: Introduction, Research on Yuan Dynasty Family and Clan Narrative Literature, and Research on Ming Dynasty Family and Clan Narrative Literature. Wang Jianke, male, born in 1962, is from Yang County, Shaanxi Province. He graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Literature; in 1991 and 2003, he obtained Master's and Doctoral degrees in Literature, respectively, from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature and the College of Arts at Shaanxi Normal University. From 1998 to 1999, he served as a visiting scholar at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Beijing Normal University. He has taught at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Hanzhong Normal College and the College of Arts at Shaanxi Normal University. Currently, he is an associate professor and deputy director of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Shaanxi University of Technology. He has published over forty papers in journals such as "Eastern Humanities" in Taipei, Taiwan, "Studies on Ming and Qing Fiction," "Journal of Beijing Normal University," and "Journal of Shaanxi Normal University," including "On the Social Circles of Chinese and Western Family Clans and Their Narrative Tension" and "Long Narrative Family Fiction in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and Its Narrative Patterns."
