Features: This book is one of the "Collected Notes on Qing Dynasty Historical Materials," and is divided into three volumes: Upper, Middle, and Lower. It combines "Secrets of the Qing," "Continuation of Secrets of the Qing," and "Further Continuation of Secrets of the Qing." "Secrets of the Qing" was written by Qing Fa Shishan and is a specialized work on the imperial examinations of the Qing Dynasty. The sections on local and provincial examiners and co-examiners record the names, origins, and backgrounds of examiners from the Shunzhi to Jiaqing reigns, as well as the surnames, origins, and backgrounds of provincial and palace palace candidates. The section on educational officials describes the evolution of the role of provincial educational officials in the Qing Dynasty, as well as their names, courtesy names, origins, backgrounds, and terms of office. The book records events up to the fourth year of the Jiaqing reign. Therefore, later generations wrote "Continuation of Secrets of the Qing" and "Further Continuation of Secrets of the Qing." Both books follow the same format as the original, covering the years from the fifth year of the Jiaqing reign to the thirteenth year of the Guangxu reign, and from the fourteenth year to the thirtieth year of the Guangxu reign, respectively.
