The Great Series of Treasures of the Palace Paintings of the Qing Dynasty in the Palace Museum

Features: The selected court paintings of the Qing Dynasty featured in this book primarily focus on realistic themes, adopt a "Sino-Western fusion" artistic style, and span the reigns of the three emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong, with fewer works from other periods included. While the Qing court housed a large number of landscape and flower-and-bird paintings, they mostly followed the traditions of the "Four Wangs" of the early Qing and the "Changzhou School" of Yun Shouping, with little innovation. These works were primarily used for decorating palace walls and were not given special emphasis in this book.
