Features: There are 5 million species of animals and 300,000 species of plants on Earth, so many of them are incredible creatures beyond human imagination. They reveal the mysteries and greatness of life to humans through their unique ways of survival. This book lists some such creatures and attempts to explore some of their characteristics. Although many mysteries of life have been uncovered, many unresolved questions still await further research. The more such research is conducted, the more one marvels at the extraordinary nature of life on this planet. The original intention of this book is to provide readers with preliminary materials, and whether this goal has been achieved is yet to be judged by the readers. The author would like to add some details about the background of the book. After undertaking this work, the author found that there are indeed many astonishing creatures. Through writing this book, the author not only felt the extraordinary nature of biology but was also deeply impressed by the investigative spirit of predecessors. For example, most people see birds and ask: "Why can birds fly?" but few consider: "At high altitudes, the air is thin—how do birds breathe?" The joy of writing this book lies more in the process of feeling the spirit of pioneers who relentlessly seek answers, rather than in the act of writing itself, as it brings awe and speechless wonder.
