Features: Protocol analysis plays a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of communication systems. It is a critical technology that operational and maintenance personnel in communication companies urgently need to improve, as well as a key skill that R&D, production, and technical support staff in the communication system manufacturing industry must master. However, protocol analysis is highly technical and difficult to learn, causing many interested individuals to hesitate. This book is written to meet the needs of a broad audience in operation and maintenance. It progresses systematically, providing in-depth yet accessible introductions to what protocols are, the role of protocols, and the role of protocol analysis. Considering practicality, the book elaborates on various protocols used in the wireless network of the CDMA2000 system—such as the HDLC protocol, the Q.931 protocol, and the PHS air interface—and provides analysis cases for maintaining these protocols in the CDMA2000 wireless network. Through this arrangement, readers can gain a thorough understanding of wireless protocol analysis in the CDMA2000 system from both theoretical and practical perspectives, enabling them to effectively apply protocol analysis in CDMA2000 wireless network operations. This book is a companion to CDMA2000 Network Maintenance and Optimization and is particularly suitable for those working in the operation and maintenance of CDMA2000 systems, especially in R&D, production, and technical support.
