Features: This book is designed based on the teaching requirements of design color, dividing the sketching of water-soluble color in design foundation into two stages:
1. Realistic color stage;
2. Inductive expressive color stage.
The first stage enriches students' visual color perception and broadens their color spectrum through the understanding of natural colors. It is a training focused on the foundational abilities of professional directions, aiming to enhance the coordination between hand and brain, as well as the initiative in realistic expression of objective objects. It serves as a means to deeply understand, explore, and express natural subjects, laying a foundation for actively and freely depicting objects, and facilitating a smooth transition to inductive expressive color as a professional foundation.
The second stage takes natural forms and colors as a basis, capturing images through intention and creating objects through artistry. It employs inductive methods as the means of expression to gain an understanding and mastery of decorative colors. The transformation from realistic to decorative expression of natural colors represents a shift in the concept of color modeling, as well as a change in modeling approaches and methods.
The reform of modern design color teaching is necessary for the development of foundational courses in professional education and represents an update of traditional educational philosophies and content. Through exchanges with various universities and the accumulation of over a decade of teaching experience, the author has completed the preliminary draft of this book. It is presented to readers with the hope of receiving feedback from a broad audience and peers, in order to further improve, refine, and enhance it.
