Publishing Date: 2005-04-01
Features: The first part of this book focuses on the fundamental theories of modern TCM infectious diseases. Based on TCM theory and incorporating modern research findings, it systematically explores and elaborates on the etiology, pathogenesis, development, prevention and treatment, as well as common symptoms of infectious diseases. The second part takes the disease spectrum as the research object, categorizing infectious diseases, diseases related to infection in terms of onset, and diseases prone to infection into three major groups from a modern medical perspective. Additionally, two diseases unrelated to infection—malignant histiocytosis and the skin, mucous membranes, and lymph nodes syndrome—are included in a dedicated section, as they align with TCM perspectives and exhibit characteristics of warm disease. The book systematically elaborates on the concepts, characteristics, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, TCM etiology and pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of these diseases. To highlight clinical applicability, the treatment section includes general management, syndrome differentiation and treatment for specific stages, selected empirical formulas, external treatment methods, supportive treatment, complication management, and prevention. While incorporating Western medical insights, it emphasizes the distinctive features of modern TCM treatment. Due to the extensive references cited in the book, limited by space, journal articles are not listed; only the key books referenced throughout the book are appended at the end.
