This book is the third volume of Essential Legal Essays from the Republican Era, featuring 42 essays on civil and commercial law from the Republican period. For the selected essays, in addition to adding brief editor's notes before each piece to summarize key points and provide concise biographical information about the authors, converting traditional characters to simplified characters, replacing variant characters with standard forms, and correcting minor errors to aid readers in comprehension, we have made no other changes to preserve the historical authenticity of the essays as they were originally published.
