Features: Peking University is a renowned academic center that has had a profound impact on China's scientific and cultural life for a long time. Many outstanding scholars have started their journey at Peking University and made significant contributions to higher education, global awareness, and social progress. This contribution has never been more important than it is today. To fully harness the potential of the United Nations and address the challenges faced by an increasingly complex world, we must urge the political and intellectual communities to take on this task. Universities and students, Peking University and its students, are actually in a symbiotic relationship: Peking University grows because of its students, and students grow because of Peking University. I believe that Peking University can inspire every student to unlock their potential and maximize their "greatness," becoming true "great" students.
Why Peking University? My Middle School and Why Peking University? My Elementary School, written by Peking University students, tell the stories of their middle and elementary school experiences, showcasing their growth during those formative years. These experiences and stories reflect the journey of Peking University students during their middle and elementary school years. For example, some students have consistently ranked at the top in their academic performance throughout middle and elementary school—how do they study, how do they prepare for exams, and do they have any secrets? Some students were not outstanding in class during elementary, junior high, or even their first two years of high school, yet they quickly rose to prominence in their senior year and were admitted to Peking University. Was their progress accidental? Some students failed the college entrance exam in their senior year but were admitted to Peking University after retaking the exam for a year. How did they create a "miracle" during their "fourth year of high school"? Many of the stories in the book are deeply moving. I believe that the experiences and stories of Peking University students will inspire and encourage students, parents, and educators. Through hard work, you can definitely become a "great" student, and you can definitely become a Peking University student.
