Features: This series of books is our first collaboration with a national-level publishing house to publish a set of middle school practice books. It basically reflects the actual teaching practice and experience in cultivating top students and addressing learning gaps at our school. It is authentic and is expected to be favored by a broad readership. Based on the New Teaching Syllabus and Examination Guidelines, the series features innovative design in its structure, including sub-sections such as [Review and Reinforce], [Classroom Homework], [After-School Homework], and [Olympiad Links]. The exercises are designed with innovation in mind, reflecting a fresh, contemporary feel. They emphasize new perspectives in test design, content structure, scenario creation, question formulation, and open-ended exploration, striving to align with the new trends of curriculum, teaching, and examination reforms. This makes them suitable for regions, schools, and students of varying levels. They not only strengthen foundational knowledge but also enhance learning and exam-taking skills.
During the writing process, the following guiding principles and features were fully highlighted:
1. Layered and Progressive Topic Structure: The design fully considers the teaching realities in underdeveloped regions in central and western China and the diverse needs of middle school teachers and students for exercises. Each question is labeled with hollow letters A, B, or C at the beginning to indicate its approximate difficulty level, facilitating differentiated instruction and improving the effectiveness of practice.
2. Practical and Effective Lesson-Based Design: The most significant difference from traditional supplementary materials is that the exercises are designed lesson by lesson, ensuring synchronization with subject teaching, practicality, and effectiveness. It emphasizes "learning through practice," focusing on what and how to practice in each lesson.
3. Detailed and Standardized Guidance: The answers and explanations are thorough and detailed, highlighting key knowledge points and basic methods, while also providing problem-solving techniques. This addresses not only how to solve problems but also why a particular approach is chosen, making it widely applicable. Additionally, each exercise specifies the recommended time and scoring criteria, allowing students to practice independently and effectively improve their quality. Thus, this workbook can also serve as a self-assessment tool for students.
4. Innovative and Extraordinary Educational Philosophy: The writing process fully reflects the requirements of the new teaching and curriculum reforms, embodying the teaching philosophy and educational concepts of the new curriculum. It showcases extraordinary thinking. The selection of questions follows a principle of combining originality with classics, with most exercises reflecting a focus on novelty and a fresh, contemporary feel. Efforts are made to strengthen the development and research of ability-based, open-ended, application-based, and comprehensive-type questions.
From the perspective of the examination syllabus, key points, and question selection (the "three exams" orientation), this series of Qidong Middle School Workbooks provides guidance and analysis on problem-solving methods and techniques, making them an excellent supplementary material for students in both junior and senior high school for practice and exam preparation.
