Features: This book summarizes nearly five years of examination questions and three years of simulated test papers, effectively reflecting the trends of the college entrance examination over the years with clear objectives. Additionally, the questions are presented in the form of a workbook, offering a unique feature that greatly facilitates students' learning and teachers' instruction, making it an ideal teaching aid. While collections of college entrance examination questions or combined compilations of examination and simulated test papers are already common in the book market, the concept of this series is entirely new: we strive not only for fresh content, innovative formats, high-end positioning, and refined taste but also emphasize practicality and ease of use, ensuring that teachers find it effortless to teach with and students gain significant benefits from it. To achieve this, we have strived to accomplish the following points during the writing process:
1. Meticulous Planning for College Entrance Examination Review
The taboo is: repeatedly practicing questions you already know and consistently struggling with those you don’t.
To prevent students from wasting time on excessive, repetitive practice, the selection of questions in this book is meticulously curated. The sources include high-stakes examination questions and simulated test papers from renowned schools, all carefully chosen by experienced teachers who have dedicated years to high school teaching and possess deep insights into the college entrance examination. Our goal is: to have students practice a minimal number of questions while mastering a variety of typical solutions.
2. Practicality and Ease of Use
Among the vast array of college entrance examination and simulated test papers, we select only highly targeted questions that address fundamental knowledge, skills, and methods, as well as those aimed at improving abilities. For convenience, we label the difficulty level of each question: A for basic, B for intermediate, and C for advanced. The organization is structured as follows: science subjects are closely aligned with teaching schedules, with questions selected by lesson, while humanities subjects are paired with units.
3. Scientific Classification
The results of the college entrance examination not only determine who enters university but also which tier of university they attend. Therefore, questions must be tiered, and scores must be differentiated. What then determines the scoring gap? Practice has shown that the performance on intermediate-level questions is most critical. Thus, in addition to reclassifying and organizing questions according to the new College Entrance Examination Syllabus in terms of content and sequence, we have also considered the overall structure of questions within the same category, including their order and difficulty, ensuring that the proportion of basic, intermediate, and advanced questions across the book remains at 2:6:2.
