Features: Adult higher education is an important part of China's higher education, cultivating and training millions of specialized talents, and comprehensively promoting quality-oriented education. Serving a wide range of employed working professionals and contributing to local social and economic development are the main tasks of adult higher education. In recent years, China's higher education has entered a new stage of mass education, and the development status and student composition of adult higher education have undergone significant changes. In the new context, to better accommodate various types of candidates for adult college entrance exams and highlight the characteristics of adult higher education, while better reflecting the objectives of the entrance exam, relevant departments of the Ministry of Education revised the "National Entrance Examination Review and Examination Syllabus for Various Adult Higher Education Institutions" (hereinafter referred to as "The Syllabus") after conducting research and soliciting opinions from relevant experts. The revised "Syllabus" fully considers the different learning backgrounds of adult candidates and places greater emphasis on assessing their grasp of fundamental knowledge, analytical skills, and practical problem-solving abilities. The new "Syllabus" includes two parts: senior high school entrance to undergraduate and junior college, and junior college entrance to undergraduate. The senior high school entrance to undergraduate and junior college syllabus covers eight subjects: Chinese, Chinese (for ethnic minority candidates in areas where ethnic languages are used for instruction who apply to adult colleges with Chinese instruction), mathematics, English, Japanese, Russian, physics and chemistry, and history and geography. It is published in one volume by the People's Education Press and the Higher Education Press. The junior college entrance to undergraduate syllabus includes ten subjects: English, politics, college Chinese, introduction to art, higher mathematics (I), higher mathematics (II), civil law, educational theory, basic ecology, and medical comprehensive. To facilitate candidates for different disciplines and majors in their review, it is divided into five volumes and published by the Higher Education Press. The "Syllabus" is intended for candidates taking the adult college entrance exam in October 2005 for enrollment in the spring of 2006. This volume is the review and examination syllabus for junior college entrance to undergraduate philosophy, literature, and history, and is intended for candidates with a junior college graduation level who are applying for philosophy, literature, history, and traditional Chinese medicine-related majors.
