Features: This book was written based on the writing and usage experience of the "Jurisprudence Teaching Material" published by China Renmin University Press in 1994. The current writing strives to be guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory, and to implement the principle proposed by Comrade Jiang Zemin of "governing the country according to law and building a socialist rule of law state." It pays attention to summarizing new experiences in China's legal system construction and absorbing new achievements in jurisprudence research and similar teaching materials both domestically and internationally. Compared to the original textbook, this book combines some chapters, adds and deletes some content, aiming to make the exposition of basic theories, basic viewpoints, and basic knowledge more concise, accurate, and appropriate, better reflecting the actual development of China's legal system construction, and better suited for undergraduate teaching needs. The book "Jurisprudence" discusses a series of fundamental jurisprudential issues, including the general principles of law (including the nature, function, historical development of law), the basic theories of socialist law in China (including the emergence, essence, and relationship of socialist law with socialist economy, politics, and culture, as well as socialist governance), and legal regulation (including the formulation and implementation of law). This book emphasizes the use of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory to research and analyze practical issues in China's legal system construction, while absorbing new experiences in jurisprudence teaching and research from abroad. This book is suitable for use by undergraduate law students.
