Features: There are many lost works of Eileen Chang, apart from her early works that have already been discovered. To this day, many remain undiscovered, such as the screenplay for Love in a Fallen City and the screenplay for Uncertain Love. Many later works also exist, such as the long autobiographical novel The Legend of a Small Town, which she spent years crafting. Unless all these works are "unearthed" one by one, a true "complete collection" will never be possible. Beyond being a brilliant novelist and essayist, Eileen Chang was also a prolific screenwriter and playwright. She had a particular fondness for film, and upon her debut, she wrote film reviews in English. Her insights and cultivation remain astonishing even today. Love in a Fallen City was adapted into a stage play and caused a sensation in Shanghai, and her contemporary work The President's Wife is undoubtedly a classic of modern Chinese cinema. This Supplement serves as a tribute to her achievements in this field.
