Features: With the gradual advancement of the rule of law, the legal system has become increasingly complex. However, the development of the rule of law is not limited to the evolution of the legal system; more importantly, it requires the general public to progress in sync with it. The China Legal Publishing House, with the pursuit of a rule-of-law China, uses legal publishing as a platform, fulfills its responsibility to meet reader needs, and relies on a specialized Legal Regulations Center composed of experts and scholars from the fields of legal theory and practice. Standing on the actual connections within the legal system, the China Legal Publishing House sincerely presents this "Selected Series of Interconnected Regulations." Compared to similar publications, "Selected Series of Interconnected Regulations" has the following characteristics:
Experts Compile the Regulations—Leveraging its unique and profound academic resources, the China Legal Publishing House invites experts and scholars from various legal disciplines to form the Legal Regulations Center, which oversees the "Selected Series of Interconnected Regulations." These experts deeply understand the intrinsic connections within the legal system, providing professional guidance that sets it apart.
Distinctive in Connection—The entire series is structured around the concept of connection, divided into three parts: The introduction part focuses on the actual selection process, centered on the principal laws, emphasizing the intrinsic connections among the included regulations. The regulations are divided into two levels: principal laws and interconnected regulations, presenting a three-dimensional overview of the regulations. The principal laws are also annotated with key points to summarize the essence of each article. The appendix selectively provides a directory of other relevant laws and regulations (including judicial interpretations and other regulatory documents) and carefully compiles reference materials, combining academic works and practical reading materials to facilitate readers' in-depth understanding and study. This structure aims to strike a balance between comprehensiveness and conciseness to ensure the authority and practicality of the series.
Affordable for Popularization—While the rule of law originates from government institutions, it ultimately needs to reach the hearts of citizens. To promote the widespread understanding and adoption of the law, "Selected Series of Interconnected Regulations" strives to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality content, offering it to the public at the lowest possible price compared to similar books. Currently, three series priced at 5 yuan, 8 yuan, and 10 yuan have been launched.
Arbitration refers to the resolution of disputes between parties through binding decisions made by an impartial institution based on an agreement between the parties. The "Arbitration Law" is the fundamental law that governs the arbitration system. The current "Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China" was passed and promulgated by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on August 31, 1994. One of the key characteristics that distinguish arbitration from litigation is its informality. Arbitration institutions operate based on their own rules rather than the legal framework for resolving civil disputes. Among the many arbitration institutions in China, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the China Maritime Arbitration Commission have the greatest domestic and international influence. Another characteristic of arbitration is its international nature. Currently, arbitration has become the most important mechanism for resolving international commercial disputes. China acceded to the "Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards" on December 2, 1986, marking the integration of China's arbitration system with the international community. The full text of the convention is included in this book. Understanding and familiarizing oneself with the arbitration rules of internationally renowned arbitration institutions is of great significance for Chinese enterprises in resolving foreign-related civil and commercial disputes.
