Features: This book is divided into two volumes, covering 10 chapters in 3 parts. Part 1 is on single-variable calculus, including 5 chapters: limits and continuity of functions, derivatives and differentials, applications of derivatives (including partial derivatives and their applications), indefinite integrals (including an introduction to differential equations), and definite integrals and their applications. Part 2 is on linear algebra and an introduction to linear programming, including 3 chapters: determinants and matrices, systems of linear equations, and an introduction to linear programming. Part 3 is on the basics of probability theory and mathematical statistics, including 2 chapters: probability theory and mathematical statistics. Each chapter is followed by a certain number of exercises, and answers to all exercises are provided at the end of each volume. This book is designed to align with the practical needs of vocational college textbooks and the new curriculum reform plan for ordinary high schools. It has an appropriate starting point, highlights key content, and is well-structured. The modular arrangement facilitates selective teaching, and the exercises are matched to the text with moderate difficulty. The language is concise, clear, and easy to understand, making it suitable for self-study. This book can serve as a higher mathematics textbook for business and economics majors in vocational colleges, junior colleges, and adult education institutions, as well as a self-study reference for higher mathematics for business and economics students in universities.
