Features: This book is a teaching material designed for piano enthusiasts with intermediate proficiency. Currently, there are numerous piano sheet music available in the market, but there are very limited Chinese pieces suitable for training and performance. Especially for the many intermediate-level piano players, finding Chinese pieces with pleasant and familiar melodies that match their skill level is particularly challenging. The purpose of writing this book is to fill this gap. The editor has carefully selected nearly 100 piano pieces adapted from classic Chinese music, allowing learners to improve their piano playing techniques while becoming more familiar with famous Chinese melodies. Through engaging in full-body playing participation, one can surely experience the emotions and joys brought by Chinese masterpieces more deeply. More than half of the piano pieces in this book are newly created. These unpublished piano miniatures do not follow the principle of thematic development; they lack lengthy movements, but feature melodious and pleasant tunes, refined harmonies, simple yet colorful textures, and are easy to play. They further explore and reveal the essence of the music through the piano. The catalog of this collection of Chinese masterpieces is organized according to the genre of the original pieces, and the pieces within each section are arranged alphabetically by the composers' surnames. The musical terms and expressive marks in the scores use standardized musical terminology. The editor has marked fingerings and pedal indications for some pieces as references.
