Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students with "comprehensive strengths." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, originality, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality-oriented education, and merely reflects one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (command) of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp their underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from such a mindset. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous exercises but requires them to complete essential ones. We encourage students to tackle diverse and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while nurturing and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series: 《Huanggang High School Homework Books》, 《Huanggang High School Exam Papers》, and 《Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Training Questions (Rounds 1 and 2)》。 The 《Huanggang High School Exam Papers》 are based on the 《Teaching Syllabus》 and 《Exam Syllabus》, highlighting the role of "examination" in the process of students developing learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking abilities. They reflect the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily training. The series features the following characteristics: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on reinforcing and gradually improving the knowledge points, exam topics, and methods they are associated with. The positioning of the series is to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive exercises in the form of ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive types. 2. Moderate difficulty gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most secondary schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, with appropriate and clear requirements. 3. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough explanations provided for difficult questions. It is particularly noteworthy that the well-timed hints sometimes play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
