The first part is biological thought, which is closely related to this discipline from Comte to Durkheim to Spencer. The second part is economic thought, namely "rational choice" and empirical methods, which have had a significant impact on the entire social sciences. The third part is "semiotic" thought, which can be traced back to Mead's behaviorism.
