On this basis, focusing on the central question of "What kind of research is Marx research?" the author reflects on, thinks through, and analyzes historical and contemporary relevance, academic and ideological significance, authenticity and subjectivity, universality and individuality, as well as the relationship between "textual research" and "comparative research," "real-world research," the premises of comparison, the attitude toward comparison, and the logic of comparison. This leads to the author's understanding of the "contemporary approach" to Marx text research.
