Features: In the current teaching of human anatomy, due to the scarcity of specimen sources and a dramatic increase in student numbers, students have limited opportunities for hands-on dissection practice, and the quantity of teaching specimens is also insufficient. As a result, physical atlas has become an indispensable tool for medical students in their studies. Since the liberation, the Department of Anatomy at the Second Military Medical University has consistently attached great importance to the construction of bottled specimens to supplement the shortage of general specimens and the lack of special specimens. After establishing the Anatomy Museum in 2000, the department further focused on organizing and expanding the bottled specimens. Currently, it has accumulated over 500 systematic anatomy teaching specimens and has also developed a computerized query and projection system for the museum's collection. To closely align with teaching needs and supplement the current teaching atlases, we have compiled this teaching atlas, "Human Systematic Anatomy Atlas," based on the systematic anatomy bottled teaching specimens in our Anatomy Museum. The atlas is arranged in the order of chapters in the national unified teaching textbook, version 6, making it convenient for students to study by comparison. Additionally, it includes a small number of cross-sectional images of specimens, which helps students gain a deeper understanding of the positions and adjacent relationships of structures, laying a solid foundation for their future studies in basic and clinical medicine. Anatomy specimens not only need to accurately represent the natural positions and adjacent relationships of human organs but also possess the nature of handicrafts. It requires a significant investment of technical expertise. Since the establishment of the Second Military Medical University in September 1949, under the leadership of successive directors of the Department of Anatomy, numerous teachers and technicians have devoted substantial effort to the construction of bottled specimens. The publication of this book not only provides a valuable reference for medical students, doctors, and anatomy professionals but also greatly enriches the important basic medical course of human anatomy.
