Features: Formulas are the main tools for clinical prevention and treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), serving as a bridge between the theory and practice of TCM. The widely circulated and highly effective formulas, both ancient and modern, are the crystallization of clinical experience and the reflection of academic styles of medical practitioners, as well as symbols of the progress and development of TCM, becoming treasures in the treasure trove of Chinese medicine. In today's rapidly advancing science and technology, despite the significant contributions of Western medicine to people's health, its limitations in understanding and treating diseases, along with the widespread side effects of chemical drugs, have led people to reflect more on the strengths of traditional medicine and the superiority of natural medicines. While TCM faces the challenges of the times, its holistic approach, the guiding principles of syndrome differentiation and treatment, and the use of natural medicines in formulating treatments further demonstrate its inherent developmental advantages. To help clinicians, medical students, health-conscious self-treaters, and those passionate about TCM gain a deeper understanding of the traditional application patterns and modern application directions of formulas, fully leveraging the wisdom of ancient and modern medicine, appropriately applying excellent established formulas, and aligning with the requirements of TCM practitioner exams, we have carefully selected and compiled 2,241 formulas from the vast pool of ancient and modern recipes, combining them with clinical disciplines to create the Clinical Common Formulas Handbook, meeting the needs of a broad readership.
