Features: Synopsis Private detective Barent's friend Harry is suddenly murdered, and Barent suspects the killer is a hunchbacked boy. However, the landlord provides evidence that the boy was not on the scene. Barent also discovers that within a period of time before and after Harry's murder, a bloodshed incident occurs every three days at a fixed time near the boy's residence, despite the boy constantly changing his address. Yet, every time a bloodshed occurs, someone testifies that the boy was not present, and those investigated unanimously claim the boy is innocent and pure. Suspicious Barent skillfully sneaks into the boy's room, only to find a horrifying secret fragment: "How long has Harry been dead?" she asks. "He called me around 5:10 PM, and I found his body at 7:00 PM. It wasn't long, but the blood had already dried." "So he died before 6:00 PM?" "Probably." She sighs in relief: "From 4:15 PM to 6:30 PM, that boy was here playing cards with me. He seemed to be having an attack, wanting someone to talk to to distract himself." "Really?" "Believe it or not!" But I couldn't figure it out. Harry was a law-abiding man, why was he so cruelly murdered after discovering something strange? Besides that boy, who else was suspicious? "Tell me, Berty. If that boy was close to Harry, he would definitely know something. Why do you keep calling him a boy? How old is he?" She nods slightly, leaning almost halfway over the counter.
