Features: A boy named Jody, who grew up on the prairie in the central United States, unexpectedly receives a beautiful little red horse. This luxury makes him instantly become the admired knight among the boys. Jody takes good care of it, feeding it carrots, grooming its mane, taking it for walks, and one day, the little red horse catches a cold after getting wet in the rain. He uses alcohol to cool it down, applies steam for medication, helps it undergo surgery to drain pus, and stays up all night, trying every possible method to save it. However, the little red horse's condition still worsens. When the boy wakes up in the morning, he finds the little red horse has broken the fence and run up the mountain to die, surrounded by a dark cloud of vultures. A vulture stands on the horse's head, its mouth dripping with water from the horse's eye. The boy, in a frenzy, charges forward and fights the vulture. Finally, facing a pile of torn bird remains, he cries.
