Hello! Before entering this fairy-tale castle, I want to give you all a special telescope. I hope you can use this telescope to get a general idea of modern fairy tales. With a quick scan through the telescope, look—fresh and interesting stories unfold before our eyes—Andrew draws monsters on his homework, and the monsters come to life and even help him with his homework; coughing into the worry jar can drive away worries; little fairy Miri gets a strange illness, and only the powder from butterfly wings can cure it. Flowers attract thousands of butterflies to dance around Miri; the wizard with a magical hat helps the residents of the Mumin Valley fulfill many wonderful wishes; and Sophie’s wizard baby is a magical pet that accompanies her while often causing trouble. For a long time, people’s understanding of fairy tales has been limited to the time of Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm, unaware that fairy tales have also been progressing with the times. Exaggerated and amusing, with vivid and beautiful writing, these are common features of fairy tales throughout history and across cultures. The fairy tales in this series often prioritize character development, creating rich and unique personalities before unfolding the stories. This approach highlights the logic and credibility of the stories, and after reading, little readers will genuinely exclaim: "This protagonist is so vivid, it’s like me!" Because the nature of the characters is inherently kind, the stories they portray are also warm and, filled with a strong sense of love. In addition to being moved, little readers will also be nurtured by beauty. Want to broaden your horizons?
