Features: This series of books covers a wide range of content and is divided into three volumes, consisting of the following six parts: Commercial Showcases, Store Signs and Entrances, Signage Systems, Wall Surface Design and Shapes, Design Sculptures, and Public Facility Design. The series is rich in photographs, with each volume featuring approximately 500~600 high-resolution images, and the entire series contains nearly 2,000 photographs. The selected photographs are spread across 13 countries in Europe, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Spain, Vatican City, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. All the photographs were taken recently in 2004 on-site, making them fresh and up-to-date. The series is illustrated with both images and text, with each part beginning with an overall overview and professional introductions. All images are labeled with their country and theme, and the design background and creative ideas are analyzed from a professional perspective. The strengths of this series lie in: first, its novelty and cutting-edge nature. It closely reflects the latest concepts and trends in contemporary European commercial and public environmental display design. Second, the authenticity of the image sources. All the photographs are vivid on-site shots, making them truly "first-hand" materials. Third, the richness and uniqueness of the content. The series covers six major design fields, with each part providing ample supporting material, and many parts are blind spots in current industry publications. The inclusion of 13 European countries in the series not only highlights its geographical advantage but also demonstrates its breadth. The birth of this series, "Contemporary Visual Design Masterpieces—Europe Edition," feels timely and relevant. The series moves beyond the traditional perspective of measuring Europe solely by its landscapes, architecture, and culture, adopting a fresh approach. It focuses on store sign and entrance design, public commercial environment design, signage system design, public facility design, wall display design, commercial showcase design, and design sculptures. From tens of thousands of photographs, we have carefully selected those we believe are representative and visually stunning, adding our own insights and perspectives to provide a comprehensive analysis of contemporary European visual design. We hope this series can bring new inspiration to public and commercial design in China and contribute to the construction and development of visual culture in the country.
