Features: When one falls ill, it is necessary to seek medical treatment from a doctor. If cured, everyone is safe and sound, and gratitude should be expressed for the doctor's healing. However, there are cases where treatment fails, such as when a patient's condition worsens or even results in death. The patient's family might say, "Before coming to the hospital, the person was alive, but how did the hospital end up treating them to death?" The doctor might respond, "It's advanced cancer. Even if a miracle doctor descended from heaven, they could treat the illness but not save the life." This situation can easily lead to medical disputes. Medical disputes are one of the common types of disputes today. So, what exactly are medical disputes? What are medical accidents? How are medical accidents confirmed? What responsibilities should hospitals and doctors bear in the event of a medical accident? How should medical accidents be handled? These all involve legal issues.
Jilin People's Publishing House invited me to write this book, "How to Handle Medical Disputes in Court," based on my practical experience in judicial work. I believe this is indeed a very meaningful task. However, as an active judge, I have a very heavy workload and cannot complete the writing of this book alone. With the publisher's consent, I invited several judges to work together to complete the writing task. I collaborated with Judge Chen Jiayin to study the structure, format, and content of the book, and then she organized the writing team to divide the tasks. After the manuscript was completed, I oversaw the review and ensured there were no errors before handing it over to the publisher for editing and publication. We are confident that this book will guide people in resolving medical disputes legally and provide legal assistance for those involved in medical accident lawsuits.
