Features: The national planning textbook for secondary vocational education, Mathematics (Basic Version), has been revised according to needs. Based on the revision of the textbook, we have also revised the corresponding teaching reference book to maintain consistency with the textbook, enabling teachers to understand the revision philosophy and facilitating more effective teaching activities. The revision of the textbook is roughly as follows:
The edition of the textbook has been used for several years, during which significant changes have occurred in secondary vocational education: (1) The student population has undergone considerable changes; (2) "Serving as the purpose and employment as the orientation" has become a consensus in vocational education; (3) After extensive surveys and discussions, teachers have given full affirmation to the edition of the national planning textbook while also providing many valuable suggestions. To better serve secondary vocational education, Higher Education Press has decided to revise the edition of the national planning textbook, Mathematics (Basic Version).
The revised edition of the textbook maintains the style of the edition while focusing on four aspects of revision: First, to address the actual conditions of secondary vocational school students, the essential content has been further simplified to reduce the learning burden, ensuring the textbook aligns with students' real-world situations. Second, practical examples have been selected from actual life and professional courses, some of which are included in the textbook, while most are available online, to ensure the textbook aligns with professional courses and practical applications. Third, a new study card has been added to the textbook, allowing access to additional resources by logging into the teaching resource website with the card number and password. These resources include online courses, electronic lesson plans, electronic teaching materials, teaching cases, and more. Fourth, significant efforts have been made to improve the quality of the textbook to meet the standards of an excellent textbook: In terms of ideological level, the textbook is designed to better reflect the characteristics of vocational education; in terms of scientific level, it ensures the correctness of knowledge and the advancement of content; in terms of teaching level, it emphasizes teaching applicability, knowledge practicality, rational structure, and flexibility in use. We believe this teaching reference book will certainly provide high-quality support for teachers' teaching activities.
