Features: The Legal Master's (JM) program, a professional degree for graduate education in law, was approved on April 1995 and piloted in 1996, marking the establishment of China's educational system for applied high-level legal talent. To properly guide the healthy development of JM education, standardize teaching requirements, ensure training specifications, and improve training quality, the National Advisory Committee on Legal Master's Professional Degree Education organized experts, professors, and scholars from legal universities, research institutions, political and legal departments, and other relevant organizations to compile a series of "National Legal Master's Professional Degree Teaching Materials." These materials serve as the basis for the National Advisory Committee's teaching evaluation and inspection of JM education, as well as an important reference for teacher training and teaching exchanges. International Law is one of the "National Legal Master's Professional Degree Teaching Materials." Based on the characteristics of JM teaching, this book adopts a thematic arrangement. It divides the fundamental issues of international law, particularly the core issues, into several themes, each covering the basic theories, knowledge, problems, and methods related to the topic, emphasizing the teaching of methods and the training of abilities. At the same time, it strives to reflect new judicial practices and cutting-edge issues in the discipline as much as possible, timely incorporating new research findings, legal norms, judicial interpretations, academic trends, and development directions. This book is edited by three renowned legal scholars—Professors Zeng Lingliang, Rao Geping, and Yang Zewei—as the main and deputy editors, with contributions from twelve distinguished scholars and professors in China, ensuring that it is a textbook with originality in form, scientificity, cutting-edge content, and practical applicability.
