Features: To provide a relatively rich collection of calligraphic and pictorial materials on couplet calligraphy for researchers, creators, and enthusiasts of couplet calligraphy both domestically and internationally, for study and reference, we spent over two years selecting 500 works from the history of couplet calligraphy and compiling and publishing this series, "Classics of Chinese Couplet Calligraphy." The series is organized into five volumes, each dedicated to one of the five major calligraphic scripts: Seal Script, Clerical Script, Regular Script, Running Script, and Cursive Script. Each volume contains 100 works, titled "Seal Script Hundred Couplets," "Clerical Script Hundred Couplets," "Regular Script Hundred Couplets," "Running Script Hundred Couplets," and "Cursive Script Hundred Couplets."
The couplet calligraphy works included in this series not only consider the readability of the literary content but also emphasize the diversity of the calligraphic art forms. Most of the works are masterpieces by renowned calligraphers from the Ming and Qing dynasties, while works by modern and contemporary calligraphers are also included, along with selected works by elderly calligraphers of the present era. The aim is to systematically and comprehensively collect and present the finest couplet calligraphy works from ancient and modern masters, to delight the readers.
