Features: This book is a photographic collection by Li Lang, featuring a variety of images captured in different regions and environments. To edit this photo collection, the author requested Li Lang to send over unpublished negatives, creating a somewhat chaotic yet cohesive compilation. In this unit, the photos lack a specific theme, and the style is not uniform, as if trying to find a common connection amidst fleeting, seemingly unrelated people and landscapes. With the camera in hand, Li Lang aspires to string together scattered pearls into a dazzling necklace. This series of photographs has a surreal feel, as if the scenes were taken from a dream. These works immediately garnered widespread acclaim. The works were so impressive that the renowned French photographer Fran?ois Le Dias contributed an article in a special issue, asking for Li Lang’s contact details to express his admiration for the photos. At that time, I knew Li Lang’s work would eventually receive international recognition. And indeed, in 1998, he won the grand prize of the "Mother Jones Documentary Photography International Fund."
