Features: The main manifestations of contemporary calligraphy activities include: 1) publishing a calligraphy collection; 2) organizing exhibitions; 3) sometimes both exhibitions and collections are held. During major national exhibitions, when promotional efforts are vigorous, the number of submitted works can reach 30,000. The increase in participants also inadvertently intensifies competition. To enhance the impact of the exhibition, attract the attention of viewers and judges, in addition to improving the texture of lines and ink variations, beautiful poetry, distinctive composition and layout, harmonious color coordination, and appropriate decorative techniques are all essential. Renowned painter Wu Guanzhong has consistently advocated the beauty of form in many of his articles and has personally put this into practice. Therefore, the achievements he has attained in this regard are widely recognized. It can be said that in two works of equal or slightly differing skill, the addition of form can more effectively captivate the audience, a point that is undeniable. The design and arrangement of calligraphy form, as well as inscriptions, also play a significant role. For over 20 years of practicing calligraphy, I have long been concerned with this topic. Today, without claiming any modesty, I will use numerous examples to discuss it, ensuring that readers do not find it hollow or tedious.
