Interview with a New Generation of Historians

Author: Editorial Department of "Historical Teaching"
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-05-01
Features: Since its establishment in 1951, "Historical Teaching" has always balanced research and teaching. Before the Cultural Revolution, the journal was also a representative publication for the study of Chinese history. After the reform and opening-up, although the number of academic journals increased, "Historical Teaching" remained the main medium for connecting academic research with basic teaching, enjoying a wide readership in the secondary education sector and maintaining a certain influence in academia. When we implemented the "Interview Program with Prominent Young and Middle-aged Scholars," scholars actively supported it. They showed great interest in basic teaching, and the specific and insightful discussions often left us impressed. The response from readers was equally strong. Many friends told us that they always look forward to this section in every issue. It includes many well-known scholars, and through this approach, they gain insights into the research of experts in adjacent fields.
