Features: The viola is an indispensable member of symphony orchestras, concert bands, chamber orchestras, or string quartets. Over the past century, the viola has also gained a place on the solo stage of concerts, admired by a wide range of music enthusiasts, thanks to its unique beautiful tone and complex performance techniques. This tutorial is divided into nine levels and a diploma level, with each level including scales and arpeggios, etudes, Chinese pieces, foreign pieces, sonatas, concertos, and sight-reading (symphonic and orchestral excerpts are added from level five onwards). To enable viola players to become familiar with, understand, and choose works of different styles from various historical periods such as the Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras, we have intentionally broadened the repertoire in this tutorial and strived to balance the difficulty levels.
