Features: Stories are a clever way to convey truth. The stories collected here offer a glimpse of the vibrant spirit of the master-disciple transmission in Buddhist tradition. According to the transmission, by encountering these stories, one sows the seeds of liberation. Initially, many of the great masters in these stories did not hold high positions within the religious hierarchy. They became revered great masters—Khenpo Thubten Rinpoche (a renowned contemporary Nyingma Buddhist master from Kham and Tibet)—because of their authentic and complete realization. The profound spiritual experiences of these masters seem to transcend rational explanation, making them difficult to convey easily through words or oral teachings. Instead, they are inspired and empowered through the heart transmission. In this process, stories play a vital role.
—Tenzin Rinpoche (a renowned contemporary Khenpo from Kham and Tibet)
