This textbook is divided into 16 lessons, each unit including the following content:
1. Listening judgment exercises. The main purpose of this section is to train and test students' ability to correctly understand and grasp prepared information in Japanese listening materials and make accurate judgments according to requirements through practical operations. According to the specific form of the recording materials, this section is divided into the following three different types: (1) Answer questions after listening to a conversation. (2) Answer questions after listening to a short passage. (3) Fill in the blanks after listening to a recording of an article.
2. Comprehension and summarization exercises. It requires students to summarize the core content of an article in Chinese after listening to it. This section focuses on training and testing students' comprehensive ability to summarize, organize, and express the main content of Japanese listening materials in Chinese within the specified time after correctly understanding the overall content.
3. Practice exercises on the translation of common new words and phrases. This section focuses on training and testing students' basic skills in Chinese-to-Japanese translation and helps them understand the Japanese translations of common Chinese vocabulary used to express new things.
4. Full text of the recording materials. To facilitate students to check and confirm the content of each part of the listening exercises at any time, the full text of the recording materials is attached at the end of each unit. Due to the characteristics of these recording materials being concise, refined, rich in knowledge, and full of new and diverse content, they can also be used for reading exercises in addition to listening exercises, thereby deepening the understanding of basic Japanese society.
5. At the end of each unit, a "Learning Focus" section is provided. This section mainly annotates difficult words that appear in the exercises and provides correct or reference answers for each part of the exercises, providing students with a standard for self-checking their comprehensive interpretation ability. In addition, in the "Learning Focus" of the listening judgment exercises, necessary hints are given for the key sentences when making choices.
