Features: According to the "National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination French Translation (Intermediate Level) Examination Syllabus (Trial)" and in line with the basic spirit of the "Interim Provisions on the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination" issued by the National Personnel Department, we have specially compiled this textbook, "French Translation Practice (Intermediate Level)," for candidates. This textbook consists of two main parts: the main text and reference answers. The first part comprises 16 units, each unit consisting of "French model texts with annotations," "Chinese model texts with annotations," "translation techniques," and "exercises." The second part includes "reference answers for model texts" and "reference answers for exercises." When compiling the "model texts" in both Chinese and French, we primarily used the latest authentic language materials as the basis, selecting up-to-date materials from fields closely related to our work and daily lives, such as politics, economy, culture, art, education, tourism, and science and technology. The source materials mainly came from publications such as France Today, Beijing Review, China's National Conditions, and China Literature. To meet the practical needs of this textbook, we have appropriately added, deleted, revised, and even completely re-translated the selected materials.
