Features: The admission examination for postgraduate students pursuing the Master of Engineering degree is divided into two stages. In the first stage, candidates take the National Unified Engineering Master of Engineering Admission Qualification Examination (abbreviated as "GCT-ME"). In the second stage, candidates, holding their "GCT-ME" score reports, apply to the universities they are applying to to participate in tests self-determined and organized by the universities based on their training objectives. Higher education institutions decide whether to admit candidates based on their performance in various tests and the results of their evaluations.
Since 2001, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has ranked among the top in the national admission scores for postgraduate students pursuing the Master of Engineering degree for three consecutive years. This achievement includes the pre-examination guidance provided by the supervising teachers of relevant disciplines. The Shanghai Jiao Tong University "GCT-ME" Research Group has meticulously studied the testing requirements of the national Master of Engineering degree in relevant subjects. Through the accumulation of three years of guidance experience, this book has been compiled with the aim of providing candidates with insights for the examination.
The content of the book is divided into five parts. The first part is Language Expression, written by Professor Chen Xianyuan; the second part is Mathematical Foundation, co-authored by Professor He Caixing and Professor Zhang Yi; the third part is Logical Reasoning, written by Professor Huang Weili; the fourth part is Foreign Language Application, co-authored by Associate Professor Chen Duojia and Teacher Wang Yuexi; and the fifth part is the 2003 Examination Questions.
The compilation of this book strictly adheres to the testing requirements of the national Master of Engineering degree postgraduate entrance examination. First, the question types are consistent with the actual examination papers; second, the book provides concise analyses of the solving methods and key points for various types of questions; third, based on the assessment points, it offers a certain number of practice questions to help candidates prepare for the examination.
The publication of this book has also benefited from the care and guidance of Comrade Zhang Weigang and Comrade Xiao Cangming of the Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Due to the limited time available for the publication of this book, there may be inevitable omissions. We sincerely hope that candidates will provide valuable feedback during use so that the book can be improved in future revisions.
