Pu Jiangqing taught in the northwest for many years, and I often see the vibrant faces of young students from various ethnic groups before my eyes. When following in the footsteps of his predecessors, what do young readers want to perceive? I believe it is the academic methods and life insights of his predecessors. Therefore, in compiling this collection of my father's, while introducing some of his academic achievements, more attention was given to the diversity of content and form of the selected writings. This allows readers to not only learn about his academic characteristics and methods but also gain insights into his significant life experiences, interpersonal relationships, and his deep affection for teachers, friends, and family. Through this, one can naturally get acquainted with a intellectual of the first half of the 20th century without feeling disconnected, as his spiritual world resonates with ours. Life is short, and my father was unfortunately unable to fulfill his potential. However, he immersed himself in the sea of knowledge, drawing rich nourishment from it and contributing his own achievements to it. A finite life has now become an infinite eternity, hence the title of the collection, "Boundless."
