The Story of Stars

Features: This book follows the footsteps of history, starting with observing real (starry skies), then exploring the birth and death of stars, and finally discussing the details of stars. Stars may be fascinating, but analyzing them inevitably involves some specialized terms and academic language. To avoid complexity, when introducing these terms, the book has tried its best to use explanatory methods rather than direct references. Essentially, this book presents the world of stars in a detailed and comprehensive manner, from the initial observation of the starry sky at the beginning of civilization to the latest astronomical satellite observations at the end of the 20th century, from romantic mythological stories to abstract intellectual star evolution, plus binary stars and variable stars, forming a network woven from stars and star dreams. In every article in the book, the author has tried to arrange the content with a balance of storytelling and reasoning, hoping that readers can not only understand the essence of things but also know the evolution of things from the beginning to the present. The book also uses illustrations as much as possible as auxiliary tools, because ultimately, a suitable image is better than a thousand words. More importantly, a significant proportion of the images in the book are provided by amateur astronomical photographers.
