Features: We closely monitor the reforms in current Chinese language teaching and composition teaching. It is encouraging to note that in recent years, students' compositions have undergone significant changes in both content and form. They are freely expressing their thoughts and reflections, and composition has indeed become a direct and convenient way for them to pour out their inner feelings. Whether this is due to our advocacy or the influence of the exemplary compositions we have promoted, it is worth reflecting on. Providing comments on students' compositions is a prominent feature of this series. Using the commenting method, we affirm and praise the dynamic thoughts and phrases in their compositions, which can enhance their interest in writing. Meanwhile, pointing out issues such as spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, and biased perspectives in their compositions is crucial for improving their writing skills and offers direct guidance. For the brief comments after each composition, we require teachers to provide appropriate evaluations of the strengths and weaknesses of the piece, being truthful—what is one is one, what is two is two—without exaggeration, flattery, or concealment.
